So CANON releases another camera...you know what happens...when does the NEW one come out after that! But hang on...what about this one???..Ok..it's not the replacement of the 5DMK2, but what I see is a great lead up of great things when the 5D DOES eventually get replaced. The CANON 60D is a camera that sits under the 7D and over the 550D. It does replace the 50D which has been a big competitor to the D90 NIKON that have just recently released the D7000(we'll look at that later!)
So what does the 60D offer us today?...Well the first thing you see is the vari-angle articulated 3 inch LCD screen which I am a great fan of..I have it on my OLYMPUS E3 and have used it so much that when I got my NIKON D700,I knew that this feature was something I missed. I do a lot of tripod work and find this feature one that should be on ALL cameras. Taking photos in a much more creative way is about taking photos that would make you think how you might not normally view the vision you are seeing. This is what can make a great shot! To be able to get the camera close to the ground and flipping up a screen so you can compose your shot is such a great way of just getting great shots.
In this camera we have a 18mp sensor with the CANON DIGIC4 processor that has helped the camera in many ways from fantastic quality images,low noise at high ISO settings(auto ISO to 3200 with the ability to expand to an amazing 12800!) and full high definition 1080 video for all those budding film makers!.
Fast focusing? With 9 point AF system and the ability to take photos at 5.3 shots per second,you will never miss the shot!
We also see in camera editing for the first time in a CANON camera which is perfect for people who don't want to use a computer to get really cool effects like making your images look like they have been taken with a toy camera or maybe a Black and White Grainy picture like the old days!
Either way, the CANON 60D will be a camera that help you wow your friends and show them your creative side!
