The Canon SX10 Powershot - A Must Read Before You Buy Any Camera!

Bookmark and Share

Are you tired of searching through numerous cameras, their features and trying to find the best price? Looking for something that is easy to use and takes great quality pictures?

I am going to explain to you some easy to understand features of the Canon SX10 Powershot that made the purchase decision easy for me and my partner before embarking on a trip around Europe. Regardless of your photography skills there are aspects of the Canon SX10 Powershot that will appeal to you and some that you may not yet understand. The bottom line is that you want an easy to use point and shoot camera that provides you with quality images to remember your special moments.

The Canon SX10 Powershot has features such as 10 megapixel resolution for picture quality, 20x optical zoom and wide angle lens for those close up shots, and also an optical image stabilizer that will eliminate that pesky blur from your action shots.

It also has a retractable 2.5 inch LCD screen so you can see what you are snapping, a new and improved DIGIC 4 image processor, eliminating red eye and improving face detection. There is also the automatic contrast correction, which balances out the light in your pictures so you don't have any more of those "too dark" or "too bright" pictures in your album.

The video camera feature of the Canon SX10 Powershot may not be of the same quality as some of the more high end products but for its price it competes very well. Sometimes when we were away, a picture just didn't cut it, and there was the need to use this function to take some movies. With SD and SDHC memory card compatibility, these movies were then easy to download and upload.

As beginner photographers when we purchased the Canon SX10 Powershot we were looking for something that provided us with quality pictures that could easily function in a number of different settings and locations. Night, day, sunset, action, portrait and landscape, we were able to capture some great memories that will last us forever.

There are other brands of cameras out there that have similar functions, but for the price and the fact that we were used to Canon's software we chose the Canon SX10 Powershot and certainly didn't regret our decision. Can't wait for our next trip to put it to the test again!
