6 Common errors of camera, problems and myths (and several corrections too!)

Bookmark and Share

Here is a list of the top ten problems that I have worked with digital cameras, both in a commercial configuration and fix them. I will try to include some quick fixes for the easier and some easy ways to prevent some of the most difficult.

1. "My camera only has enough battery for 5 shots and dies." It is a piece of garbage "-sometimes cameras are simply bad, throw too much voltage, or are poorly designed, and will last only a few dozen shots." However, most of the time, camera manufacturers seek to save costs and thus include (if they are even included!) cheap, alkaline batteries. These are bad batteries for the camera. Retail work many times, I would have a customer angry about your digital camera, and all we had to do was to exchange these batteries out for real digital camera batteries, or lithium batteries.

2. In many of the retailers, memory cards (any kind - SD, MMC, CF Flash, xD, and more) are generally non-returnable. This makes very distributor to retailer, but benefit you, as a consumer, to determine the policy of the store on memory cards before you buy. The reasons given for not return these cards are varied, have listened to everything, from the fact that a client can exchange a good card for a bad one, to the store doesn't want to be responsible if a card is returned with any illegal and pornographic photos on them. The shop worked in made this very, returned from a memory card without even archiving it (2 things that were against policy)! and ended reselling the memory card for a mother and her son. The card contains a large amount of pornography, and became a very bad business.

3 Scratches. Be realistic, there are some devices consumer out there who breathe in them, rayan. I swear, many products of the "i" designation have a habit of doing just that. There are many cameras that also have the habit of scratching / blemishing fairly easily. Be careful when cleaning the LCD screen or the lens, do not want to zero, can be costly to replace if it gets damaged.

There are many different consumers screen savers to help alleviate these problems, we recommend Darntoothysam.com this particular manufacturer. The screen saver is thick acrylic plastic 1/163, very resistant and durable and comes in all shapes and sizes depending on the camera. They even adjust these "i" products as well!

4. The LCD screens. This is closely linked to # 3. If a LCD is being striped, then you are taking damage and afternoon or early that damage will break the LCD screen. If it is a deep scratch that breaks the screen or an impact on the case or the LCD screen that ends up breaking completely, once they are broken, they are broken. Can they not be repaired, only replaced. Fortunately the replacement is fairly cheap and installation and repair is only a bit more expensive. A LCD replacement is usually cheaper than buying a new camera (as opposed to a new target - that gets expensive!). We have several model of Canon cameras available for repair or replacement, depending on your level of comfort with a camera inside!

5. Compatible with drivers and software. Usually going to want to use the software that comes with the camera and install it on your computer. Advanced users may have other levels of comfort with the use of software (including generic XP software or your own software used). Sometimes, however, the software is buggy, or is incompatible with the operating system or equipment. View, from what I know, has had many problems with compatibility with the controller and the usability, although much of this will be relieved in a next Service Pack.

A flagrant example of a company which caused considerable frustration for the uninformed consumer was Fujifilm. Usually I love Fuji cameras and their innovative ideas, but I must point out in this case. 2 Years ago changed his mechanics of storage of information in its memory card format semi-proprietary, the xD card. This card was changed to a format of xD, which was consistent m will have all the new cameras. There were a few dozen cameras that had a high enough version of firmware that could be updated to work as well, but the earliest cameras were incompatible with the new format. Of course the store worked for retired immediately the old card, and someone with a previous camera was our luck. It was very difficult to talk to a client who does not know much about cameras or computers and try to explain why the change and how to fix it. However, this is an example of why, if you are comfortable with this sort of thing, making sure that you have updated drivers, firmware and software can help alleviate many problems!

6 Purchase of camera that most needed - this is complicated, because everyone is different. A beautiful thing with digital cameras is the flexibility and versatility that have. You, the user, is no longer limited by the expense of film, which for someone with a limited budget, could very well limit their creativity for fear of losing money on poorly taken photos and development costs. Now, you can adjust to the heart of the content and not spend a penny, save or delete the photos that you want to and do not want and shoot without any additional cost! However, there is the danger of buying too much camera for what you need. If they are just getting into photography and just want to take pictures, there no reason to go and buy an SLR or SLR camera type high-end with 100 different features, options and dials. They are obliged to get overwhelmed and without a knowledge of the backbone of the photography and the mechanics of photography, might very well get discouraged and afraid to take pictures. If they are only heard on the picture, really everything you need is a basic point and a camera shooting with a zoom and reproduction, movie mode and shoot. The camera will take care of most behind scenes things, and while the pictures are not as good as something taken by a camera or a high-end camera with manual options, still look great!
