I love photography and I bought a Canon EOS XSi (450 D) last year from amazon.fr. Does wanted how I had expected as Canon are on the verge of launching its brand new successor to the Canon EOS XSi 500 D, which is very soon (early May 2009).?
The XSi is a fantastic camera for the price and really builds the bridge between the amateur photographer and a professional photographer well. I don't think they could improve it to be honest.
But they have. Oh, so I have.
EOS XSi offers much of its price. Canon has incorporated many features found in the EOS 5 d Mk II (which normally costs more than $2500) and packaged in the body of the XSI. And guess what? The dimensions are exactly the same as the XSi before (except weight 5 g is a heavier).
So what does on the XSi XSI?
The XSi is 15.1 mega pixels (as opposed to just 12.2).
Most advanced DIGIC 4 processor (compared to the DIGIC III on the XSi).
The ISO range is expandable to 12,800 in comparison with only 1600.
Recording video mode - can use it as a video camera, shooting up to 12 minutes (or 4 gb) full HD video!
HDMI connection for viewing and playback on HDTV.
A truly unique feature which I am interested is that the XSi has a great advantage for beginners - auto creative area. When he settles in one of these areas, camera guides you what settings to use via the LCD screen. Basically, creative auto mode is like having a Professor built in! I am tempted to trade in my old XSi and buying the XSi just for this feature alone!
Many of the other standard functions of Canon cameras are still there, such as live view, automatic clean sensors, elimination of dust, etc. and storage on SD or SDHC cards.
Summary:
I'm looking forward to getting the launch of this House in early May and they will have to talk about my wife to allow me to update from my existing XSi. This really seems a cracking camera.
It seems that Canon has again given a great leap and so many technologies incorporated a small body and low price. I can think of what will be later, although transfers wi-fi and it would be good impression. You need a fast connection as the highest quality of RAW images are going to be well above 20 mb.
The XSi seemed to be bridging the gap between amateur and professional, but the XSi seems defeated by including a tutor! There is nothing worse than being out in the field after reading something and then forget it. The XSi will ask with what to do with his creative way of auto.
Perhaps they also incorporate a mobile phone in the House as well! Who knows, strange things have happened!
If you're new to digital SLR photography, this is the perfect camera for you. Click here to find out more. If not, is a fantastic update.
