The Canon T3i is one of the latest DSLRs offered by the leading maker of digital cameras; Canon has created the T3i with some impressive functions. This camera has been designed as the company's flagship offering. Consumers should note however that the T3i is not a device that replaces the T2i from the same company; instead, the Canon T3i has been created as a replacement model for Canon's Rebel XS. This newest device has a articulating LCD display, brand new features for creating videos, better automated modes, and several impressive updates making it a worthwhile investment. This device is slated for release to the public in the first quarter of 2011 and it will be, like all Canon devices, priced at an affordable price.

The Canon T3i looks a lot like its predecessors in the Canon rebel line. The exterior casing is black and the body of the camera is fairly hefty. The back of the camera sports a flip out, rotational LCD display; a feature at one time found on the Canon 60D which is now making its first appearance in the Canon Rebel line. On the right side of the T3i one will find a slot for a memory card. On the opposite side of the camera one will find the different ports so the device can be connected to peripheral equipment. On the top of the T3i one will find that positioned in the front of the camera's accessory shoe there is a pop up flash feature.

For the initial investment in this camera, the user gets everything he or she needs to begin operating the device including the camera, a camera strap, an AV cable, a USB cable, an Eyecup, a lens, a battery charger, and a battery. The Canon T3i is an 18 megapixel offering with a CMOS sensor. It houses a DIGIC 4® image processor, and it is compatible with an array of memory cards for add on storage. Users can capture images in a wide range of resolutions; the device works with any type of Canon EF lens, and the camera has several aspect ratios. It has AI focus AF, Predictive AL Servo AF, and One Shot Autofocus functions. It offers direct printing options, nine focusing points, movie mode functions, noise reduction features, self timers, and several white balance presets.

The Canon T3i handles perfectly. The grip area of the camera makes the device easy to handle and comfortable to hold. Despite this camera's relatively large size, it is still simple to manage. While a bit larger than the Canon T2i, the T3i only weighs 570 grams in all. The best feature on this device is the rotating display which makes capturing videos on the device impressively easy. This camera is also outfitted with a traditional viewfinder for capturing stills. The articulating display makes for easier shots at difficult angles.

The Canon T3i has some fairly impressive features making it a worthy investment for a photographer looking for a device that allows for creative capture of videos and stills. The 10X Zoom feature, Video Snapshot function, and the ability to record in HD make this device a spectacular DSLR. The high powered sensor and the high quality image processor make the Canon T3i speedy and powerful too.
