Canon have done again with his new 550 D / Rebel T2i in the market soon. Who would have thought less than a year after the release of the EOS 500 D which would be ready to shoot a replacement. Looking at the 500 D is basically a baby 7 d. Some of its functions to perform the current EOS 50 D. Ready to take his place in the consumer market, the 550 D seems a great purchase
18 Megapixel sensor is a step up from the system of 500D's 15 megapixel but really the difference increases the increase that needs a full size of 50%. Film mode significantly greater will also make a competing hard to overcome. Although it replaces the 500 D, 500 D will continue to be sold for the rest of 2010, probably at a more attractive price structure.
Let's take a look at some of the improvements and additional features that Canon has been added on the current offer of 500 D.
1.18 megapixel
This is a great improvement and takes the leader in its class. Although Megapixels are not critical for large images yet it is a great advantage to have. How to handle the additional pixels is what counts.? The sensor is similar to the 7 D but is not the same while using the same vibration technology to get rid of dust.
2 LCD screen of
This is the first Canon camera to have a screen ratio of 3: 2 real showing exactly what you see on the sensor. There is no cut reflected on the screen. This is not the factor of culture that we are talking about, only the size shown on the LCD screen. It has not increased the size of the screen, but it has updated the resolution that gives you greater clarity and a better ability to check images while filming.
3 iFCL metering system
This is another great improvement by Canon on the 500 D, a real breakthrough in the use of technology in measurement systems. It presents the new system of 63 area that continually analyzes color, luminance and focus simultaneously. This provides a more accurate and consistent measurement and it was found so far in the more expensive cameras like the 7 D.
4 ISO
Grain is kept to a minimum the Digic 4 processor but the 550 D offers the standard ISO 6400 expandable to 12800. This increase allows photography in situations of low lights where the flash is not allowed.
5 Video HD
You now have complete control over the speed of frames and the ability to capture subjects moving fast by manually adjusting the settings. There are a number of improvements when it filmed in 1080p and 720 p. Again the choice of speeds increases the desirability of this House over their competitors.
I will be taking a serious look at this House. It looks the same like a sensation as the 500 D as Canon does not make major cosmetic changes very easily. All the controls are basically in the same places and updating you do not need to learn a new set of positions.
These are just some of the improvements on the 500 D give it a worthwhile update. The decision to go from 500 to 550 D would be a personal and if it is worth to you pay for these additions, I leave you. In general is a great camera and a leader in its class. However, before making the change, withdraw the review sites and see if the features are it is willing to pay more money for.
