The new Canon PowerShot SX20IS is a new model of mega-zoom only reported in mid-August of this year (2009). It is the successor of the very successful SX10IS model which has been curb the bestseller charts for some time.
One of the new features found in the Canon PowerShot SX20IS is that you can record videos in HD at 720 p. This model uses a large lens wide-angle 28-50 mm that has an optical zoom 20 x. can zoom during video recording. Also has a 12.1MP sensor image and like most new models from Canon , uses a DIGIC 4 processor which produces excellent image quality.
In the back of the camera, you will find an LCD screen of 2.5-inch that can rotate at various angles. There is also a button dedicated to record movies with a click of the button video recording that allows.
As successor of the SX10IS, the new Canon PowerShot SX20IS does not disappoint. It retains many of the great features of the previous model (easy-to-use interface), and tops with one couple more. The image quality is pretty impressive considering their price range. They were even better in many ways than those taken in some of my more expensive digital SLR cameras.
At first glance, the Canon PowerShot SX20IS may seem a little bulky, but actually surprisingly comfortable to hold. It has good, comfortable grip and feels very durable. With the appearance of this new model, seems that Canon is established to curb market cameras mega zoom for a long time to come. Currently, the Canon PowerShot SX20IS sells at around $399 each.
