Most reader probably knows by now that I'm a big fan of digital SLR cameras, but I also believe that the point and shoot cameras have their place among us, especially in situations where a digital SLR camera would not be adequate, for this reason I am often buying point and shoot digital cameras, here is my review of the Canon PowerShot SD780IS.
The first thing that you will see are extracted when the PowerShot out of the box is that it is really small, in fact is probably the smallest digital camera I have ever used. The shooting in the SD780 settings are very simple and there is not much for violin with which is an excellent feature for someone who only seek fit some photos, have said that if you want to get a little more creative options such as flash annulment, AE lock, AF lock and exposure compensation that can play with to get the image you want.
The camera has an optical 3 x zoom, which is not massive, but isn't small or and no problems when trying to take pictures of his companions in clubs, on the beach or for any other general situation every day. Obviously not be doing any fauna bird outbreaks with this House due to the small zoom, but let's be honest how many of us were looking for to do first with this camera?
An additional benefit of this camera is that it is capable of firing in 720 p HD, is worth mentioning that this is not full HD most digital cameras use 720 p as standard, but you not should worry too much about this already 720 p shoots sufficiently sharp movies to watch on a flat screen TV.
It is worth mentioning that if you buy this camera then will need at least one memory card of 4 GB due to this 12 megapixel sensor of the cameras, which tends to eat lots of memory above, however the positive side of this is clear and sharp images that can be expanded to almost any size you want without losing image quality.
Conclusion
In general I am very pleased with the Canon PowerShot SD780IS and even not to leave home without it and that is a testament to what a great little camera is especially when always use my Canon 7 D SLR. The camera also performs in terms of shadows and even if you have to crank the ISO of 1600 are still very sharp and very usable images. If you are looking for a small digital camera with great results look no further than the Canon PowerShot SD780IS.
