After 3 years of impressive sales with its cheap digital SLR, Canon Rebel 1000D (Rebel XS aka), there is now a new camera on the block (the block sale). It is the latest cheap Canon, Canon DSLR EOS Rebel T3 (aka 1100D).
The name, Rebel T3, seems to indicate that this camera is similar to the rebel T3i. However, there are some differences that would make these two cameras in the hands of different people. The best featured T3i is more directed to people who are more interested in making photography a serious hobby, while the T3 is more for those who just want a good camera when the picture quality is at stake.
This new rebel is aimed at those looking for the best image quality without having to invest huge amounts of time or money.
Type of the part of money speaks for itself. T3 is priced a very reasonable $699.
Saving time is for people that do not want to invest in photography as a hobby, they only want large images. With a CMOS sensor 12 megapixel camera that has some of the same characteristics of image quality as more expensive cameras, Canon Rebel T3 responds to big Bell.
There are some big improvements in the new cheap digital SLR that well worth the extra $160 which you have to pay, and is not really "extra" because the anterior Chamber now has one lower price due to the introduction of the new model. It is fair that you can get the 1000D now at a discounted price.
The improvements are quite forward of the rectum which refers to cameras:
Largest CMOS sensor - 12.2 megapixels vs. 10.1-megapixel
New image processor DIGIC 4 is the same as in the T3i and the 60 D, two more expensive and higher end cameras.
HD video - this was not available in the old rebel 1000D.
Improved ISO - sensitivity now can be pushed as high as ISO 6400 vs 1600 - this is a great improvement in the ability of photography in low light settings.
Brand new creative mode - Basic + allows you to choose ways to improve your images using the creativity integrated in the camera software.
Added measurement capabilities Odes, AE bracketing, White Balance bracketing.
Guide functions on the camera - descriptions of the options appear on the LCD screen to let you know what makes the adjustment - without having to guess or search for the users manual.
The Canon people is really doing its best to meet the needs of all persons who want to take pictures with the time and cost restrictions.
The new Canon Rebel T3 (1100D) is the camera digital SLR for the casual photographer wanting large pictures on a budget. It is still possible to get a Canon Rebel XS (1000D), but why be the latest features available in Cheap SLR Digital known as the T3 overlooked?
