Don't ever buy a Canon Digital Rebel XTi

Although there may be a lot of good reasons to buy a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, not every camera is good for every photographer. Therefore, depending on what is important to you and taking pictures, probably should be aware of the short comings of this House. There is a lot of information about how big is this House, but for only a minute or two, lets be critically and brutally honest.

The Canon Digital Rebel XTi, is guilty of underexpose in all lighting, specifically with the autoconfiguration enabled. Even Canon will have problems to discuss this statement. I've heard from an owner of XTi that was as far as to send in photographs of two chambers separated from CanonXTi and ask what was wrong. The pictures were dark and underexposed, and Canon told them that Yes the camera used to take these pictures was defective. Without realizing it has of course, that the images came from two new cameras. Apparently the problem is really with the automatic configuration. If your type of photographer, who never uses the output of the box factory settings, then this cannot be a problem for you. Otherwise just take a pass, there are many other good cameras that you should consider.

The XTi has a habit quite annoying to lock to quickly take a consecutive number of images in a row. Shutter only hangs and emits a busy signal. According to Canon, this is normal and the camera is performing as designed. At first glance, it may seem a case of insufficient power from the battery to the strength of the flash. But, it isn't really the way that the camera is designed to work. The XTi manual comes right out and says that this is a security feature designed to protect the flash. Once again, it is necessary to judge whether this is a problem for you. If the type that likes fire photos twenty or so in a row, then this House is likely that annoy you to no end. Otherwise, this really is a matter not.

One last thing. It is fairly standard, that all digital cameras come with an LCD screen. It is quite good to be able to use the LCD screen to take a picture, so it does not need to have the camera right in her face. The little point and shoot digital I bought for my daughter go as far as to totally remove the viewfinder. Apparently that made manufacturer using the LCD screen is the favorite of the majority of the users choice. With the XTi, Canon took the unusual decision to go upside down. The only way to see what image your adoption is to use the viewfinder. The 2.5-inch LCD screen is very nice, simply can not use it to see what image your currently taking. It is only used to review the pictures already taken, or to adjust the camera settings. I guess that they are just trying to save battery power. Who knows? Once again, it is a case of what is important to you and how you take photos.

Therefore, if I have not convinced you yet to buy a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, or prefer to listen to some good things on the Rebel XTi, okay. Here are some other nice cameras to consider. Remember, always good to have a balanced opinion and then decide what is really right for you.
