My Canon Powershot A1100 review - easy to use, point and click camera

Bookmark and Share

When it was first suggested that I write a review of the Canon Powershot A1100 was quite reluctant. They have had a digital camera for a number of years, but never has to deal with him. It has numerous buttons and when I take a picture I can never remember what do all. The other thing that disappointed me is that because I don't use the camera much that appears each time you want to use it the battery is flat.

At first glance I do not think that Canon would be different, but I have to admit that I was wrong. I was pleased to see that it uses ordinary AA batteries. I've been using rechargeables, but if meeting are flat I can now borrow batteries from another device and still taking pictures.

Then I saw that the buttons at the top of the camera and thought to review this Canon Powershot A1100 might not be very positive. There are three buttons separated from the camera but quickly understood that one is simply the on/off switch, the ring surrounding the shutter release button controls the zoom and the remaining button to select preset modes that come with the camera.

So far so good but I saw the buttons on the back side of the camera that clearly had multiple uses and my review took a turn for the worse. Fortunately he soon understood that they do different things, if the camera is shooting mode or playback mode. I also discovered that you can be fully automatic camera so it really is a case of turn it, then choose and click in. Better still, the images it produces are very good.

The hurdle final to study for my test of Canon Powershot A1100 was the software that came with the camera. Sometimes install and use the software are not as easy as you might expect, but in this case I have had no problems.

As you probably now know I'm a big fan of the Canon Powershot A1100. It is easy to use and it can be point and click or can experiment with several settings. Of course the main criteria for selecting a camera should be the images that it produces and is here that stands out the Canon . The images are clear and sharp and the colours are vivid and real. So if you're in the market lot of functions, easy to use, camera point and click then, hope that this brief review of Canon Powershot A1100 has demonstrated that it should be high on your list.
