Additionally, DSLR photography now has become so popular that even custom photographers are adapting the use of DSLR cameras. Camera manufacturers have introduced lots of technological advances by integrating it with the DSLR packages across the board, but Canon DSLR lines are some of the cheapest, and yet they are not compromising with the quality of the images that are captured. For photographers who are planning to let go of their compact cameras and for other novices who are just starting with DSLR technology, the Canon Rebel T3i is just right for you. Canon released this new promising DSLR camera in February 2011. Like its predecessors, T3i takes high-quality photographs by using a more advanced technology in comparison with its predecessors, namely the T1i and T2i.

T3i can capture fast-moving objects having a frame rate of 3.7 fps and can in fact capture continuous shots within the aforementioned time frame. What's hot with this camera is that when you click the shutter, there is 0 lag time. It instantly gives you your captured image.

Canon cameras are famed to have longer battery life, and with its 18 megapixel CMOS image sensor that helps conserve battery life, you can enjoy photography for long hours without worrying of battery low problems. You can snap more than 400 photos at the highest quality setting before running out of battery power. The improved technology has provided an ISO feature can also be used with reduced noise on the captured images in low light. The Canon Rebel T3i is armed with a DIGIC 4 image processor, and because the engineers have done a fantastic job of improving the software over previous models, you can adjust and balance the colors of your captured images with ease and confidence. Using its iFCL metering system, even in places where there is poor lighting, you can still be able to get clear images and thus dumping any concerns of getting normal night-vision effects in your images.

In Canon's Rebel series, it's good to note that only the T3i has a Scene Intelligent Auto mode which enables you to let the camera do the selection of the best setting for the image you are trying to capture. That being said, the T3i also allows you to manually set the settings, but if you are not yet familiar with its features then this Scene Intelligent Auto mode would be very helpful. This feature is good for novice photographers who are not yet familiar with DSLR photography and those who are not yet familiar with this particular camera.

The T3i has also a Basic+ menu where you can set the ambience mood into warm, cool or intense. Another aspect that remarked photographers are identified is that when there is a tough shot due to the peculiarity of the photograph's angle. The more unusual the angle is, the better. Canon T3i addresses this aspect by providing Vari-angle clear view 7.7mm LCD screen. This feature allows you to capture images at unusual angles and displays it on the screen and thus making the image viewable on the LCD when you can't get your eye to the view finder or even see the back of the camera. This is also true when you are using a tripod.

Most DSLR cameras today are not just used for still photography. It also includes in its scope video coverage. With canon T3i you can record videos with varying lengths and then put them together producing an HD movie sequence. To complete the roster, you can add background music on it making it much more professional or dramatic depending on your personal preferences. All these can be done without even transferring them to your PC. That's how powerful this camera is.

Finally, there is the 3x and 10x zoom in Live View, allowing you to get perfect focus of the image. It is not the same as digital zoom on some cameras that will result in poor quality because of lost pixels. The Canon Rebel T3i loses no quality at all because it zooms for composition and focus purposes only.

Is the Canon Rebel T3i worthy of purchasing? Most definitely!
