Secret Six Step Process For Selecting A Great Camera!

Bookmark and Share

I am very scientific in my approach to life and that means EVERYTHING has to withstand a scientific test. My scientific approach prevents me from making emotional decisions; it clarifies my decision-making process. The Secret Six Step Process I have used for years in making quality decisions is called the "Reductionist Approach" and I hope it will also benefit you in making a Wise, Scientific and Emotionless Choice in every area of your life. Below are the secret steps revealed:

Step 1: Robust Data Collection

Experience has taught me that the number one secret just before plunging into robust data collection is knowing exactly what it is I want. Once I am very clear on what I want, I then initiate my data collection which is based on my ideal criteria. For instance, if I want to buy a camera I have to decide on the size of camera I prefer? Do I want a small or big camera? Do I want good quality pictures or standard pictures? How much information can I collect on the products out in the market place?

I used this approach when I wanted to buy a camera. I read reviews on all possible camera models which my family and friends had used over the years, I examined the design, performance and video and image quality. I am sure you are getting the picture now.

Step 2: Vigorous Data Analysis

When I was in school, I loved research (funny... I know!). Anyway, I would open an excel spread sheet or take a plain sheet of paper and have several column headings such as "What I want in a camera" then in the other columns, I would list the different cameras I would have done research on. I would tick the product if it had what I was looking for or an X if it didn't. As for me, the camera brands Nikon and Canon won my vigorous analysis stage.

Step 3: Develop a List of Recommendations

This step has saved me from stress countless times and greatly assisted me when making a decision. For example when I had to make a choice between the Nikon and the Canon I made a list of the specifications I wanted and then compared and contrasted both cameras and noted which camera met my list of criteria.

Step 4: Review the Recommendations

Now that I have a list of recommendations, the fun part starts which is reviewing the recommendations. I personally HATE shopping and would honestly prefer to watch grass grow, I find this part to be very much a stress-reliever. With my list of recommendations in my hand, I went to Best Buys and had a bit of a play with the Nikon and Canon cameras trying out their features.

Step 5: Implementation

I had done my research, tried out the two cameras and now finally made my mind up based on the Six Step Process. Once I had decided on buying the Canon Rebel EOS T3i I whipped out my smart phone and typed in "Canon Rebel EOS T3i discounts" and got a number of price points. After ten minutes of browsing I bought one online with a decent discount.

Step 6: Review

I have been using the Canon Rebel EOS T3i for more than 6 months and I am really happy about my choice. The camera does meet my desired criteria and does everything that I had hoped for in a camera.

Conclusion

Everyone makes a better burger than McDonald's however McDonald's have the best system in the world to deliver an average burger. If you choose to follow my Secret Six Step Process of making an unemotional and scientific choice in making purchase decisions you will find that you always get what your heart desires. The proof is in my Canon Rebel EOS T3i camera.

There is simply no substitute for quality research and as always facts are stubborn. I did my research online and found this excellent source of information about the Canon Rebel EOS T3i.
