For Canon, PowerShot G-series has been his bread and butter when it comes to popular and compact digital cameras. The first thing to note for the Canon G11 is that the camera features a high-sensitivity CCD. With this, the company has done the unthinkable and actually has reduced the number of pixels in the previous model. Head scratchers can be wondering why he did so, but the fact is that there is no real disadvantage of having less pixels when you consider the whole image. In fact, a sensor using fewer pixels really you can squeeze more light and this can produce images looking cleaner.
